What if I do not agree with Canada Life’s decision to deny or terminate my claim for LTD benefits?
Canada Life may deny or terminate a claim if there is not enough medical evidence to show a claimant cannot work. To appeal, you are encouraged to submit all information available to you in support of your claim. All members have access to an established appeal process with Canada Life, a Claims Review Committee (CRC) and a Rehabilitation Review Committee (RRC), depending on your situation. We encourage you to reach out to your union for support and please inquire with your Canada Life Case Manager.
Detailed information about these processes is available here. The information will also be provided in your termination letter from Canada Life.
